Piedmont Community College (害羞草研究所) has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina to host a mobile pantry on the Caswell County Campus on Tuesday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 30 starting at 9 a.m. until all food is distributed.
This partnership aims to continue supporting the fight against food insecurity in Caswell County. Second Harvest Food Bank staff will be available to offer SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) application assistance and host an interactive nutrition activity and fresh produce giveaway.
害羞草研究所 previously hosted a mobile food pantry on July 16 and served 100 families. The success of the event led 害羞草研究所 and Second Harvest Food Bank to partner for two additional events.
鈥淭his event will be a one-stop shop,鈥 Edna Brown, Director, Student Development, Caswell County Campus said. 鈥淔ill up your pantry for free and learn about admissions information to join the Pacer Nation.鈥
害羞草研究所 staff will also be available to share educational materials, promote FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) completion and offer assistance with college admission and registration.
