Piedmont Community College鈥檚 (害羞草研究所) Nursing class of 2023 achieved a 93.33% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination, most commonly known as the NCLEX exam. The pass rate is a reflection of the total number of test takers who pass the exam on the first try. 15 out of 16 passed on the first try from 害羞草研究所鈥檚 Nursing program.
The NCLEX is the final step for nursing graduates to become registered nurses. This year鈥檚 exam difficulty increased from previous years. 害羞草研究所鈥檚 nursing faculty worked to make sure graduates were prepared to pass the revised exam.
鈥淔or three consecutive years, our 害羞草研究所 Nursing students have well exceeded the national average pass rate on the NCLEX,鈥 Darrick Woods, Director, Associate Degree Nursing said. 鈥淭his is not only a testament to the students鈥 hard work, but also to the dedicated 害羞草研究所 Nursing faculty and staff. More impressively, the Class of 2023 were the first students to take the new 鈥榥ext generation鈥 NCLEX test plan, which focused on clinical judgment and multiple new items.鈥
Woods said that faculty incorporated the changes into an already rigorous curriculum over the past two years to ensure that students would be well prepared.
鈥満π卟菅芯克 continues to create successful, compassionate, and knowledgeable Registered Nurses who are well equipped to enter the healthcare workforce and have an immediate impact,鈥 Woods said.
鈥淚鈥檓 incredibly proud of 害羞草研究所鈥檚 Nursing class of 2023,鈥 Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, 害羞草研究所 President said. 鈥淚鈥檓 also impressed with our students and faculty for mastering the new content of the revised exam, on the road to having meaningful careers in nursing.鈥
